Autonomic Management for Multi-agent Systems
نویسندگان
چکیده
Autonomic computing is a computing system that can manage itself by self-configuration, self-healing, self-optimizing and self-protection. Researchers have been emphasizing the strong role that multi agent systems can play progressively towards the design and implementation of complex autonomic systems. The important of autonomic computing is to create computing systems capable of managing themselves to a far greater extent than they do today. With the nature of autonomy, reactivity, sociality and proactivity, software agents are promising to make autonomic computing system a reality. This paper mixed multi-agent system with autonomic feature that completely hides its complexity from users/services. Mentioned Java Application Development Framework as platform example of this environment, could applied to web services as front end to users. With multi agent support it also provides adaptability, intelligence, collaboration, goal oriented interactions, flexibility, mobility and persistence in software systems.

Multi-Agent Autonomic Architectures for Quality Control Systems
Quality control is crucial to the success of any business and organization. Due to the ever-increasing complexity and mission-critical nature of quality control, development, deployment, and management of information systems for quality control overwhelms the capabilities of software developers and system administrators. This has motivated our research, co-sponsored by IBM and HP, to explore de...
متن کاملLS/ABPM - an agent-powered suite for goal-oriented autonomic BPM
In this paper we shortly describe the Living Systems Autonomic Business Process Management (LS/ABPM) software product. LS/ABPM is an integrated environment, based on J2EE, Eclipse and Agent Technology, to support agile Business Process Management through goal-oriented process modeling, autonomic business process navigation and a multi-layer extensible architecture. The product comprises a Proce...
متن کاملGuiding Organic Management in a Service-Oriented Real-Time Middleware Architecture
To cope with the ever increasing complexity of today's computing systems, the concepts of organic and autonomic computing have been devised. Organic or autonomic systems are characterized by socalled self-X properties such as self-con guration and self-optimization. This approach is particularly interesting in the domain of distributed, embedded, real-time systems. We have already proposed a se...
متن کاملAutonomic Computing for Scheduling in Manufacturing Systems: Case Study
We describe a novel approach to scheduling resolution by combining Autonomic Computing (AC), Multi-Agent Systems (MAS) and Nature Inspired Optimization Techniques (NIT). Autonomic Computing has emerged as paradigm aiming at embedding applications with a management structure similar to a central nervous system. A natural Autonomic Computing evolution in relation to Current Computing is to provid...
متن کاملAutonomic Computing for Business Applications
Autonomic computing, a new deployment technology introduced by IBM a decade ago, to manage the ever increasing complexity of IT systems, has become a part of many large scale deployments today. A lot of inroads have been made by autonomic computing in the areas of networking, data centers, storage, and database management. But few attempts have been exercised in business applications such as ER...
